Tower Bridge is on every lip when speaking about London. This iconic bridge has the favor of tourists as well as Londoners due to its location. Tower Bridge is indeed surrounded by some other famous buildings : St Paul’s Cathedral and The Tower of London on one side of the River Thames and the Shard, the Shakespeare Globe (among others) on the other. Iconic building

Tower Bridge was built between 1886 and 1894. It is composed by 2 bridge towers tied together at the upper level by two horizontal walkways.
The bridge deck is accessible to both vehicles and pedestrians free of charge, unlike the bridge’s twin towers, high-level walkways and Victorian engine rooms (being part of the Tower Bridge Exhibition).
Tower Bridge is quite spectacular with its bascules able to raise to allow river traffic to pass. I only witnessed it once and this is captivating and moving at the same time. The hustle and bustle of the area is just stopped for a moment until the bridge comes back to its initial position! Historic building

You can walk on the bridge, but also immerge yourself in its architecture and engineering.  The north and south towers will help you understand the history of the building and you can have access to the engine rooms.
You can also enjoy a stunning view from the walkways and even experience the incredible glass floor upstairs!

London’s landmark

Tower bridge cater to all visitors because the building itself is full of history and because wandering in this part of London is really enjoyable. You can really soak in the atmosphere of the city walking along the Thames.
