Founded in 1875 by Arthur Liberty, this iconic store’s mock-Tudor building, crafted from old Royal Navy ship timber, is pure storybook magic!

Step inside and you’ll see why the building is so adored: its wooden balconies, carved details, and cosy, house-like layout give it a warm, intimate feel you won’t find in any other London department store.

It’s the kind of place where wandering from floor to floor feels like exploring an elegant, artfully curated space.

The best part? Every Christmas, Liberty turns its central atrium into a dazzling festive spectacle. In 2025, celebrating the store’s 150th anniversary, the highlight is the magical ‘Good Ship Liberty’ floating above. Truly a sight to behold!

From top to bottom, Liberty is filled with indulgent beauty collections, stylish fashion pieces, beautiful home decorations, luxury ornaments, artisan gifts, its famous printed accessories, and irresistible festive treats.

And the Christmas shop, up on Liberty’s top floor with awesome views of the atrium, is a real festive treat. Every corner is packed with beautiful decorations, carefully picked gifts, and tempting holiday goodies. It’s hard to resist the temptation here!

If you haven’t seen Liberty at Christmas yet, you’re missing out. It’s one of those London unique spots that instantly puts you in a festive mood!

The shop always looks so classy and eye-catching. That giant advent calendar really makes the whole street feel festive… and, of course, it’s a magnet for anyone looking for the perfect Instagram shot.

And do not miss the fabulous animated displays outside, they are just adorable! This year, Fortnum’s windows are full of tiny mice in red coats, busy scurrying around in colourful, whimsical scenes that are impossible not to smile at.

Inside, the store is packed with charm and classic British style, making it a treat for locals and tourists alike. And I love how beautifully everything is packaged, that unmistakable British design always wins me over!

Fortnum & Mason is famous for its luxury hampers, fine teas, artisan biscuits, chocolates, festive decorations, and gourmet treats. I’m never short of gift ideas here at Christmas (their biscuits are a personal favourite!). 

Everything is beautifully presented, and during the holidays you’ll even find charming Christmas music boxes filled with biscuits that everyone loves. It’s a must-visit for food lovers and anyone who appreciates classic British elegance. 

Fortnum & Mason’s Christmas shop (on the 1st floor) is full of festive home decorations, from glittery baubles and candy‑coloured trees to luxe tableware and nostalgic ornaments. 

There’s even a red telephone‑box display that’s perfect for a fun photo! Whether you’re picking up a few special pieces or just soaking up the festive vibe, it’s a really charming spot.

Fortnum & Mason is right on historic Piccadilly, in the heart of London’s West End, surrounded by iconic shops, theatres, and landmarks. Its central location makes it super easy to pop in while soaking up the Christmas buzz in town!

3. Burlington Arcade, Piccadilly

Burlington Arcade is a true architectural gem and one of London’s most charming historic shopping spots, dating back to 1819.

Harrods at Christmas is total festive magic. From the dazzling ‘Christmas World’ (the Christmas shop) with garlands, colour-coordinated trees, and sparkling ornaments, to this year’s limited-edition Alfie Bear and the huge 8-foot Balsam Hill tree, every corner is brimming with holiday vibes.

With festive Food Halls, personalised gift experiences, and loads of seasonal treats, you’ll see why everyone flocks here, it’s the perfect spot for an unforgettable Christmas shopping spree.

Harrods is right in the heart of Knightsbridge, surrounded by luxury stores. It’s the perfect spot for a festive shopping outing in the city!

Here, you can wander through 7 whole floors packed with every kind of toy you can imagine, from classic crafts and cuddly bears to the latest gadgets and games!

It’s basically a full holiday adventure stacked floor by floor..and the kids love it!

Hamleys is right on Regent Street in the middle of London’s West End, so you pretty much can’t miss it. It’s surrounded by tons of shops, lights, and Christmas vibes.

7. Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop, Covent Garden

Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop in Covent Garden is a cosy little treasure trove of traditional toys.

Dating back to the 1850s, it’s famous for its charming, old-fashioned style and timeless appeal. Perfect for a nostalgic escape from the busy streets!

In addition to being in Covent Garden, probably the most festive part of London at Christmas, this little shop turns into a magical wonderland full of charming old-school toys, miniature theatres, and puppets.

Parents will love hunting for unusual, screen-free gifts that spark creativity and imagination.

Where to find Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop?

Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop is right in the middle of Covent Garden, one of the most festive spots in London. With street performers, market stalls, and Christmas lights all around, it’s easy to pop in.

8. Neill Strain Floral Couture, Mayfair

For anyone after luxurious Christmas decorations, Neill Strain Floral Couture in the heart of Mayfair is the perfect place. Founded by Neill Strain, the boutique is famous for its stunning, artistic floral arrangements, as well as its beautiful selection of festive décor.

What makes Neill Strain Floral Couture a must-see at Christmas and what to find inside?

During Christmas, this Mayfair boutique is a real treat, filled with gorgeous floral arrangements and festive décor.

The shop’s so popular now that you have to ring the bell to get in, but it’s worth it. The interior is beautifully decorated, and whether you’re after flowers or unique ornaments, it’s not to be missed!

Where to find Neill Strain Floral Couture ?

Neill Strain Floral Couture is tucked away in the heart of Mayfair, one of London’s most elegant neighborhoods. Surrounded by luxury shops and festive lights, it’s a lovely stop if you’re exploring the area.

Address: Neill Strain Floral Couture, 6–8 Conduit Street, London W1S 2XF. It is a 10mn walk from Green Park or Bond Street station.
