Some places just have it all, and The Rock & Rose in Richmond is definitely one of them! From the stylish interiors to the vibrant dishes, it’s a spot that brings food, passion, and a touch of glamour together in one unforgettable experience.
Today, DOYOUSPEAKLONDON invites you to discover The Rock & Rose and indulge in a truly memorable meal!
Passion & Style at the Rock & Rose restaurant
When I booked, I asked for “a romantic table,” hoping to celebrate an important anniversary.
Honestly, I expected just a quiet corner, nothing too fancy. But when we arrived, the waiter asked us to wait “two seconds” with a playful smile. I didn’t think much of it at the time.
Then we reached our table, and we were genuinely surprised and touched: it was adorned with heart-shaped chocolates and rose petals!
My first thought was admiration for the attention to detail and the way the restaurant anticipates its guests’ expectations.
My second thought was a little more selfish… I felt proud knowing I had already managed to surprise my partner in those first few moments!
Fruity cocktails in unexpected glass!
We started by browsing the wide range of tempting cocktails. Between their clever names and fruity combinations, it was impossible not to be tempted!
In the end, we chose one to share: a mix of vanilla, red fruits, and vodka… which arrived surprisingly in a large skull-shaped glass!
Delicate food with worldwide inspirations
The starters were exquisite. Both the Salmon and Tuna Sashimi and the Walnut-Crusted Goat Cheese looked incredible and tasted just as good.
My only small wish? That the Asian plate had slightly larger slices to fully savor all the flavors.
For our main dishes, we opted for the Monkfish & Tiger Prawn Curry, served with a delicious coriander naan and fragrant jasmine rice.
We also tried an Asian-inspired dish, the Teriyaki Salmon, served with perfectly cooked Asian vegetables and a tangy pineapple chilli salsa, a really interesting combination.
A top-quality service
Beyond discovering a cosy and stylish new spot, we really enjoyed the staff, especially the waitress who looked after us so attentively.
Since it was a special day for us, she started by bringing two complimentary cocktails.
And when our main dishes took a little longer than expected (the restaurant was full, with many birthdays being celebrated at the same time), she thoughtfully offered some nibbles and stayed attentive to our needs.
It really seemed to be a hallmark of the place. You could feel the genuine care from the staff throughout our visit.
We had such a wonderful time at The Rock & Rose, and it just goes to show venturing out of central London can definitely be worth it.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and found a little inspiration. If you plan on visiting The Rock & Rose soon, I’d love for you to share your experience on DOYOUSPEAKLONDON!
