60 Degrees Coffee: the best speciality café near St James's Park London

Some places just make you stop scrolling. That's exactly what happened when I came across 60 Degrees Coffee on Instagram.

Just a few minutes from St James's Park, this sleek, contemporary café stood out from the usual Westminster coffee stops and looked like the kind of place worth seeking out.

Today, DOYOUSPEAKLONDON brings you to 60 Degrees Coffee, one of Westminster's most exciting speciality coffee shops and a spot that deserves a place on every London coffee lover's radar!

60 Degrees Coffee London: what's behind the name?

The name is not just a number, it's a philosophy.

60°C is the precise temperature at which milk is steamed to reach the perfect sweetness and texture for a specialty coffee drink.

It signals exactly what this place is about: precision, care, and an obsession with getting your coffee right!

Founded on the belief that great coffee should be part of your everyday ritual, 60 Degrees sources its beans ethically from single-origin farms across Colombia, El Salvador, Yemen and beyond.

Each batch is roasted in small quantities to preserve freshness and flavour. This is the kind of attention to detail you rarely find outside a dedicated roastery.

As for the coffee itself, I have to confess that I'm no longer much of a coffee drinker these days, so I didn't order a cup. That said, learning about the care that goes into every stage of the process gave me a real appreciation for what 60 Degrees is trying to achieve.

What to eat at 60 Degrees Coffee London: savoury and sweet favourites

Let's be honest, the food is reason enough to come!

On the savoury side, the chicken brioche bun was exactly what it promised: a soft, pillowy brioche hugging a generous, well-seasoned filling.

But the star for me? The prosciutto focaccia, fresh, flavourful, with that irresistible chew you only get from really good bread. I genuinely loved it!

For something sweet, we tried the chocolate hazelnut bow, one of their signatures, and it absolutely went down a treat. Chocolatey, nutty, and beautifully made, a proper treat!

Why 60 Degrees Coffee is a must-visit Café in Westminster

Even as someone who's moved away from coffee, I could see exactly why this place has earned its devoted following.

Their ethically sourced beans are carefully selected from small producers worldwide. This is definitely the sort of coffee programme that a true coffee lover would want to sit with and explore properly.

Also, the pour-overs, matcha lattes, hot chocolates and speciality brews are crafted with the same rigour as the food. Simple, thoughtful and beautifully executed!

And the setting? It's modern, calm (if you can avoid peak hours), beautiful. A proper antidote to the tourist rush of the surrounding area...
