Long before the pumpkins, this corner of north-west London belonged to medieval knights. In 1312, the land passed to the Knights of St John of Jerusalem, and the woods that grew here took their name!
Those woods are long gone, but St John's Wood kept the name. And every October, its leafy streets of grand villas turn into one of the spookiest neighbourhoods in London!
Today, DOYOUSPEAKLONDON invites you on a Halloween walk in St John's Wood, a loop from the tube station through my favourite streets, with a map at the end of each part! Witches, skeletons and giant cobwebs are waiting for you ๐๐ธ๏ธ
