Inside Roxie Rocks Chicago
The story behind the show
Roxie Rocks Chicago is the London Cabaret Club’s own take on the world of Chicago, a jazz-age mix of fame, crime, ambition and showbiz.
At the centre of it all is Roxie Hart, a chorus girl dreaming of becoming famous. Her story unfolds through a series of dazzling, dreamlike scenes, set around The Onyx Club, the cabaret featured in the Chicago film.
Rather than following the musical scene by scene, the show uses Chicago as its inspiration, taking its characters, music and atmosphere and turning them into big, glamorous song-and-dance numbers.

Pre-show drinks and entertainment
Doors open at 6pm, with the pre-show entertainment kicking off in the bar at 6:30pm.
I'd definitely arrive early for this. The room starts filling with sharp suits, sequins and dressed-up crowds, and the atmosphere builds long before the first act even begins!
Dinner during the show
Dinner service starts at 7pm for Gold, Diamond and Royal Diamond guests, with a three-course menu included in the experience.
We had our courses served throughout the evening, so dinner becomes part of the whole cabaret experience rather than something you have to fit in before the performance.
Silver tickets don't include food, but you can order bar snacks, small plates and drinks separately on the night.
What makes the London Cabaret Club so special?
The London Cabaret Club is more than a show you sit down and watch. It’s a whole night out, combining dinner, drinks, live entertainment and dancing under one roof.
What makes it memorable is the atmosphere. From the moment you arrive, there’s a sense that you’re stepping into another world: dressing up, having a drink, watching the pre-show entertainment and then finding yourself just metres away from the performers once the main show begins.
This intimate set-up makes a big difference too. With tables surrounding the stage, you’re right in the middle of the action rather than watching from rows of theatre seats.
