The Fulham House: a must-visit Mediterranean restaurant in London!

Some London lunches just stay with you. My friend and I arrived at The Fulham House on a bright midday, with no particular expectations, and we left utterly won over!
A sun-drenched menu, generous plates, and that easy, relaxed warmth that makes you want to linger well past the last course.

Welcome to one of Fulham's best-kept secrets, and today I'm sharing it with you on DOYOUSPEAKLONDON!

The Fulham House: Mediterranean soul on the Fulham Road

Fulham is one of southwest London's most charming neighbourhoods: leafy, village-like, and wonderfully well-connected and right in the heart of it sits The Fulham House.

A Mediterranean restaurant that has been quietly winning over locals (if you want to visit on a weekend, you'd better book ahead!). It's the kind of place that feels instantly familiar: warm, unpretentious, and genuinely passionate about good food!

The kitchen draws its inspiration from the sun-drenched flavours of the Mediterranean: vibrant seasonal ingredients, bold combinations, and dishes that feel both generous and considered.

Whether you're popping in for a weekday lunch, a leisurely dinner, or a celebration with friends, The Fulham House has a wonderful way of delivering exactly what you need.

Lunch at The Fulham House: good food, great vibes

Starters that set the tone beautifully

We ordered two starters between us, and both were brilliant.

The Bruschetta arrived looking gorgeous: toasted sourdough topped with fresh tomatoes, basil, wild mushrooms, olive oil, seeds, and truffle ricotta.
It was vibrant, fresh, and earthy, absolutely delicious! One of those dishes that shows the kitchen really cares, with the mushrooms feeling so original in a dish like this that we were completely won over!

Our second starter, Zucchini Frites, was so good! Crispy, golden-fried courgette strips with a fresh tartare sauce. incredibly moreish, and the portion size was remarkable. We kept reaching for more right up until the last strip!

Mains that truly delivered

Both of us chose differently for the main course, and both of us were delighted.

My Grilled Sirloin Steak, served with mixed roasted vegetables and truffle mayo, was everything you could ask for. Requested rare, it arrived perfectly cooked: tender, pink in the centre, and beautifully seasoned.
The switch from chips to roasted seasonal vegetables was greatly appreciated: colourful, flavourful, and simply delicious!

My friend chose the Pappardelle with Duck Ragù. Slow-cooked duck in a red wine and tomato sauce with mixed herbs, draped over wide ribbons of pasta. It was rich, warming, and full of depth.
Original and completely satisfying. High praise from a very happy table!

A tiramisu worth sharing

For dessert, we went halves on a Tiramisu and it was the loveliest way to end the meal!
Light and airy rather than heavy, with a small amount of coffee, and a creaminess that felt genuinely indulgent without being overwhelming. Perfectly comforting!

Throughout the whole lunch, Bella was attentive and genuinely warm. She was also incredibly patient, as we lost track of time chatting and enjoying our meal!
We never felt rushed, and it was clear she takes real pleasure in looking after her guests.
We walked back out into the Fulham sunshine feeling very well fed and very happy indeed!
